​The project consists of the replacement of two existing water distribution pipelines that cross under the Tanamá River bed including fittings, valves, plugs and appurtenances, among other improvements.  All in accordance to the Drawings and Specifications prepared by PRASA
This project will benefit approximately 19,500 families residents in the Municipalities of Arecibo and Hatillo.

Notas Especiales

​Sealed bids will be received by the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA) at the third floor of the Infrastructure Offices, located at 618 Barbosa Avenue and Mayaguez Street, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico 00917-4310. All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud on the Bid Conference Room located in the aforementioned place.  Prospective bidders are hereby advised that to be eligible to submit a proposal for these projects, they must attend a pre-bid meeting and purchase a full set of the bid documents from PRASA. 
All questions arising concerning these projects shall be submitted ten (10) calendar days before their respective bid opening dates.
In compliance with Law 85 of June 18, 2002, all bidders must include with their bids a certification from the Bidder Registration Office of the General Service Administration (Registro Único de Licitadores de la Administración de Servicios Generales) indicating they are eligible to participate in bids from Agencies of the Executive Branch and Public Corporations of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.  The Bidder Registration Office is located at Barbosa Avenue and Quisqueya Street in Hato Rey, P.R., Telephone (787) 759-7676, ext. 1010, 1011, 1016, and 1017.
After the specified date, the Bidding Documents, including construction drawings and specifications if applicable, may be examined free of charge at the Specifications and Cost Estimate Section located at the third floor of the Infrastructure Office, 618 Barbosa Avenue and Mayaguez Street, Hato Rey.  Bidder shall gain access to the downloading of digital documents (PDF) on the above specified date through the PRASA DATA BIDS website,, upon payment to the cashier on the fourth floor of PRASA’s Central Office, 604 Barbosa Avenue, Hato Rey, Suite 411 with cash, postal money order, certified check, ATH, Visa or Master Card in the amount specified for each project and not later than the deadline time, individually specified, prior to the bids opening. Postal money order or certified check shall be drawn to the order of PRASA.  Bidding Documents shall not be returned and payment will not be refunded. Hard copies or CD’s shall not be provided by PRASA.
